Hey there, I’m Lauren! I’m a multi-disciplinary designer based in London, 
specialising in type, print and motion graphics. Currently working in-house as a Graphic Designer for naturally fast food brand LEON, I aim to create playful, experimental work that has a real impact on the world. I love to get hands-on when it comes to the conceptualising process, and I really enjoy collaborating with like-minded people to push our ideas to new limits.Over my career, I've worked across a range of mediums - from digital, social and web, to printed publications, signage and even vehicle graphics - I'm always keen to meet new challenges and learn new skills along the way. 
 
In my spare time, I love watching live music, taking photos on my 35mm, and playing baseball.

LEON Social Content

Conceptualising, storyboarding and animating LEON’s social content using strategic insights.
2023-2024
	Objectives
















The strategy behind LEON’s social is based on
three pillars: People, Personality and Playfulness. The intent behind
this was to humanise content, championing guest value and not just selling
products, all the while keeping a humourous, cheeky tone. LEON aimed to attract
a more Gen-Z audience through keeping content fresh, relevant and
fast-paced.Key ConsiderationsA fast pace was key in attracting a Gen-Z audience, so I kept the flow between
frames fast, and experimented with different transitions that kept
LEON’s feed feeling fresh. I also pitched more pop-culture themed content,
such as LEON-themed Spotify Wrappeds, and a Traitors themed post, making
content more culturall relevant.





Design ExecutionFor me, this meant crafting visuals that were vibrant, bold and eyecatching– particularly across our animated content. I suggested using LEON’s colourful
range of brand colours across product reels, threading through the cultural and
culinary identity I had constructed for each dish, and giving them a distinct
visual appeal.
I started off by storyboarding content, visualising how this would move through
dragging elements across Illustrator artboards and recording my screen. I would
then present to key stakeholders, including the Marketing Director,
to ensure everyone was on the same page. Once approved, I then moved
storyboards to After Effects and began animating, looping in key stakeholders
along the way to ensure they were happy from the work in progress to the final
deliverable.&#38;nbsp;

ResultsIn 2024 end-of-year report, LEON saw a +34% YOY rise in followers, a +103.6%
YOY rise in engagements, and a +61.2% rise in impressions, demonstrating a
clear increase in their social presence.

Smirnoff Shorties

Conceptualising, storyboarding and animating a promotional reel for Smirnoff’s new product.
2025
	ObjectivesSmirnoff are launching their new product ‘Shorties’ as a direct response to the popularity surge in single-serve, premixed cocktails. They wanted a typography-led reel for socials that would drive awareness of Shorties, and its key USPs.Key ConsiderationsEmbodying the iconic, confident and vibrant energy of Smirnoff was a key consideration in this brief, leading to my choice to use bold and disruptive colour combinations across each frame. Pace was also a big factor, as we wanted to hook audiences in before that two-second drop off point.

Design ExecutionI began by storyboarding some static frames in Illustrator, thinking about what colours I wanted to use from Smirnoff’s extensive brand palette, and how I wanted the reel to flow from start to finish.
After some experimenting with different typographic layouts and potential transitions, I landed on a silhouette of the Shorties bottle as the centre of transitions across the reel. Through zooming and rotating it, it allowed me to move between type-focused frames and images of the product. I also experimented bringing some of the key USPs to life through their type animation – e.g. mimicking the motion of resealing a bottle for the same word, and having the ‘No Bubbles’ messaging repeated in outline as a way of reinforcing it in a fun way.

specific audiences they were targeting. &#38;nbsp;Key ConsiderationsTheir existing emails had very little flow to them – sections felt disjointed, headers were oversized, and the text and images weren’t placed with much consideration. I wanted
to bring an immediate recognisability to the header, using the LEON logo as a
consistent anchor to the brand. Designing bold banners was also key to
improving CTR, hooking audiences in with beautiful, vibrant visuals. 







 






Design Execution


















I started by creating a clear set of
guidelines to be followed by the marketing team when creating all emails – font
sizes, line heights, button sizes, padding, etc. Starting from this place of
structure then allowed me to build in more engaging and fun layouts, setting up
columns for text/image combos rather than stacking them on top of each other,
and incorporating background colours that gave sections more identity.



My biggest goal was to create a hook of the first fold of
the email hooking, so I experimented with animation across banners, keeping
transitions and type fresh, and really focusing on championing
products. I played around with embedding the entire first fold in a diagonal shape,
making it feel cohesive and clearly establishing hierarchy within the emails. 







&#38;nbsp;
ResultsIn 2024 end-of-year report, LEON saw a +45.8% YOY increase in open rate vs a 30% target, and an average CTR of 2.15%,&#38;nbsp;compared to a previous CTR of 1.42%.

Objectives
















The Tree had the opportunity to pitch global
business collective, The Valuable 500, for their social strategy and execution.
They wanted a printed document that communicated why The Tree were the right
agency for the job, and the vision they had for The Valuable 500. &#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp; 






Key Considerations


















The Tree wanted V500 to feel at home with, so we
thought using their existing brand guidelines to inform the pitch document was
vital. Each page had a lot of information to communicate, so I wanted to go in
with a key design system of font sizes and grids to follow as I built the
publication.







Design Execution


















When designing the information provided to me,
I made sure to focus on the journey we wanted to take V500. This meant keeping
to a clear hierarchy, with bold titles that worked their brand colours and fonts
in the right way. I wanted each segment to have it’s own style, so designed
bold and distinctive section pages to break things up. Infographics were an
important part of this brief, as there was a lot of social statistics that
needed to be presented in a digestible way. I aimed to keep things creatively
simple on these pages, giving graphics plenty of room to breathe.

Wenzel’s Flavour Nation Campaign

Branding and campaign design for POS and social assets for Wenzel’s summer campaign

For their
summer campaign, Wenzel’s wanted a series of in-store and social media assets
designed to showcase their exotic product range being introduced for the summer
period, which included delicacies from Mexico, Japan and Jamaica. 
I spearheaded the design for this campaign by concepting the direction for all deliverables, dependant on the culture they derived from,
through both extensive research into existing brands in the market, and through
experimenting with different graphics and colour schemes. 
It was important to the client that the design felt consistent, despite the
differing nationalities of the foods, so we incorporated a similar central
layout for each deliverable, and changed only the colour scheme, patterns and
fonts to make the designs feel more authentic. 
Overall, this has been one of my favourite mini branding projects to date, and
it was particularly exciting to see my work displayed not only across social
media as paid adverts, but in over 100 Wenzel’s stores around London.

The Anomalies

Editorial book on the theme of air-travel anomalies, hand-bound.
2019
	A publication looking at the significance of numbers in relation to aircraft disasters and anomalies, with the aim of easing the fears of passengers and giving them a new understanding of the statistics involved through the use of infographics inserts.
'The Anomalies' is divided into three chapters - Departed, Delayed and Saved - and examines some of the most famous crashes, disappearances and near-misses involving airplanes of all time. This brief was definitely my most challenging yet, as I&#38;nbsp;pushed myself to try and translate numbers and statistics into a form that everyone could understand. It was bound using a Kettle Stitch bind to symbolise the complex inner structure of planes, and contained within a hand-made aluminium box, representing the protective structure of a black box as a surviving documentary of plane crashes.
